©Gill Billington. All rights reserved. Trafalgar Square in London is the home of Nelson's column, a memorial to Admiral Nelson after his victory in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
This photograph shows of one the four bronze lion sculptures that guard the base of the column. Behind the memorial, against the sunset can be seen part of the National Gallery.
