Description
©Gill Billington. All rights reserved. Mission Ready is a close up photograph of "Miss Helen" a historic WW2 p-51 Mustang airplane which flew nearly 60,000 combat hours in the second World War in just nineteen months.
It appears to be the last original p-51 used by the 352 Fighter Group and is still flying today. The group was called the blue nosed bastards of Bodney due to the blue paint on the nose of the aircraft although it is shown here in black and white as it adds to the nostalgia of this image.
