©Gill Billington. All rights reserved. The tide is turning and the surf is breaking on the rocks and washing up the beach at Southwold, Sulfolk, UK. It is a sunny summer day, there is a man fishing from the old wooden pier and the seagulls are circling in the sky, looking for food, you can almost hear their cries. This lovely black and white seascape of the ocean spray on the rocks and the waves hitting the shoreline, although available in colour, it has a vintage look in monotone. It was photographed in this favourite vacation coastal town on the East coast of England. It puts you in a holiday mood and makes wonderful relaxing artwork for your home or office.
