Remembering the fallen is a view of the memorial at the Tower of London marking 100 years since the first full day of the British soldier's involvement in the first world war. It shows some of the 888,246, red ceramic poppies, symbolising one poppy for each British fatality in WW1. This magnificent art installation created by artist, Paul Cummins is called Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red and shows the poppies cascading out of a window in the Tower of London down into the moat in a setting designed by stage designer, Tom Piper. Each poppy has been sold to raise millions of pounds, shared between six service charities in the UK who support veterans and members of the British Armed Forces past and present.
