©Gill Billington. All rights reserved. This white Corvette C7 Z06 was photographed after it had returned form the famous endurance race, Le Mans in 2016. This 2015 racecar was badged as a C7.R with Le Man stickers from 2016 although the C7.R was originally offered in the team racing colors of yellow and black and was produced from 2016 so I believe this is a tribute to that fantastic car.
The Chevrolet Corvette C7.R Z06 was introduced in 2016 as a road car with links to the Corvette racing team. Only 500 were built with the Z07 performance pack which included Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and adjustable rear and front aerodynamic features which increased the downforce to give enhanced grip. It had a 5.5Litre naturally aspirated V8 engine which was almost 500 horsepower.
The Corvette racing team with the C7.R won some prestigious races like the GTE-Pro class 24hour endurance race at Le Mans in June 2015 but was retired in 2019 to make way for the new C8.R
